The 6th grade arrived eagerly for their first day of school. The students were happy to see each other, as many of them consider their classmates to be a part of their family! They were also excited about seeing their teacher, Miss Rachel, who many of them have had for two years already. AND most of them were even more excited to see Pine Peace School's new principal, Miss Beth, who most of them had as a Kindergarten teacher years ago!!
Below are pictures taken on the first day of school. Let's see how much the 6th grade students grow and change over the year!

Dore must have grown inches over the summer! She came back to school much taller! She had a great summer at a variety of camps in Florida. She met three friends there named Rachel. Can you believe the coincidence!
Gregory has decided to be more organized this year and got a new book bag that is more like a shoulder bag. He just loves it! Do you think all of his books will fit in it??
James walked into the classroom with a big smile on his face. He was eager to start the 6th grade, and be the part of the biggest kids in the school, but he doesn't want his time at Pine Peace School to ever end!
Cassandra was so excited about the beginning of school that she arrived to school a day early as all of the teachers were arriving for their staff day! Now, that's excited! Sadly, though, Cassandra was only at PPS for the first month of school. She and her family moved to Florida in October. We all miss her!

Ganson loved his summer. He went to a cool sports camp. He's ready to be a 6th grader, though, and is looking forward to playing more football after school on Fridays with his dad and all of his friends.
Alex is new to Pine Peace School this year. His family moved to St. John from Wisconsin at the end of June. Alex couldn't wait for school to begin, so he could make some new friends.
Jesse was ready for school to begin the day school ended in June! He missed all of his friends over the summer, but enjoyed some of the adventures he had on his own, including travel to the states to visit a friend all by himself, and picking out his own back to school clothes. Nice picks, Jesse - you did all right!
Photo come soon!Matty came back to school talking about the big one that he caught while at his family camp. He LOVES to fish! Funny thing, though, every time he told the story, the size of the fish increased ever so slightly...
