Grades 4-6 participate as volunteers for Coastweeks 1999 International Coastal Clean-up.

Thirty-four students spent an October morning cleaning and cataloging debris on both sides of Haulover Bay on the East End of St. John. NPS Ranger Don Near spoke with the students about the importance of beach clean-ups and the effects of liter on our community beaches. Students ended the day with lunch and a swim at Maho Bay Beach on the way back to school.
