Welcome to Pine Peace School’s Website. It is wonderful to be back on St. John and back at PPS in particular. We have a terrific staff of experienced and professional educators this year whom you will meet as you explore our site.
My philosophy of education is based on the premise that each child grows, learns, and develops in a sequential manner at his/her own pace. It has been my experience that children need to be exposed to a variety of teaching methods to benefit from the classroom experience.
Children learn by interacting with and observing the world of people and objects; they organize these experiences and observations into meaningful relationships. Learning should be a positive and engaging experience that allows children to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to be the most that they can be, and instills a life long love of learning.
One of the most critical aspects of teaching for me has been helping to instill a sense of pride and self-esteem in the youngsters with whom I work. It has always been my goal to try to provide programs that meet the needs of the whole child, intellectually, socially, emotionally and, physically.
It has certainly been my love for children that has kept me challenged and fulfilled in this profession for over twenty-five years. It is with great enthusiasm that I embark on this new phase of my professional life.
